Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. The most famous role she has played is Bo, from Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk is an actor from Canada who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Peter Silk, known as an accomplished actor, director, producer, playwright, educator, and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's earliest memories were of going to the play school and watching her mother perform. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials while she was just a child. The Bachelor in Arts was awarded to her by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows during the beginning of her career: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved out of Toronto to Los Angeles in the decade that followed 1999. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she met him in 2007 during an acting workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. In 2009, the couple were married civilly in December 2009. In Fredericton on the 10th of April in 2011they renewed their vows, following Silk's change of religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman's birth took place May of 2013, and her son was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Her son Levi Aaron was born on May 13 2016. Silk's television work is a part of Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009, she was cast as Bo Dennis, the lead character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk made it known to her fans that she was expecting a baby in January 2013 during an episode of Showcase Season Three Special. Silk, who has been doing work on the show since the final season episode premiered on January 6, 2013 on Twitter, announced her readiness to return on June 4th, 2013 as Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production of fourth season. Her portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender in the show Lost Girl was named one of the most popular Television Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple of 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk has a huge social media following, including Facebook and Twitter because of its popularity.
